Date: 23/10/21 - 31/10/21
Time: 10:00am - 5:00pm
Location: Askham Bryan Wildlife & Conservation Park
Askham Bryan Wildlife & Conservation Park is proud to welcome you into the world of purposeful poisons and valuable venoms this Halloween half-term!
Join us from October 23rd-31st as we explore the world of toxicity, and shine a light on the talented toxins that are helping pave the way for ground-breaking medicine!
Ranging from spitting cobras, to box jellyfish, and even duck-billed platypus, the natural world is full of irritants, toxins, poisons and venoms – all specially designed and adapted to help provide food and a scare away predators. These animal toxins are complex chemical concoctions, with the potential to inflict major damage to other living organisms. But… when we look closer, brush through the mane of the lion’s man jellyfish, and lift up the tentacles of the blue ringed-octopus, we find a world of talented toxins that can help shape our world and save human lives!
Talented Toxins will be dosed with a series of additional activities including special talks and demonstrations, crafts, quizzes and trails. All activities are included in the standard admission rate. Askham Bryan Wildlife & Conservation Park is open 7 days a week throughout halter, 10:00AM-17:00PM (last entry 16:00PM).
Pre-booking not essential. For further information, please contact the park via firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01904 772270!
