Some of our regular weekly

Education Visits

All school visits to Askham Bryan Wildlife Park are self-guided. We offer interactive workshops on-site for EYFS, KS1-2 and KS3-4 Learners.

Our interactive interpretation and trails allow learners to explore a variety of topics through play-led learning, whilst a self-guided adventure around the Wildlife Park allow children to meet some of our residents’ face to face and also incorporates multisensory learning experiences.

Teachers must read and comply with the ‘School Protocols’ and ‘School Trips’ Risk Assessment. These documents are available to download at the bottom of this document. This Risk Assessment serves to provide guideance and does not act as a substitute to an individual one written by your school or organisation. By sending us your booking form, you agree with the terms and conditions of our protocols.

We require all schools to wear Hivis vests whilst on site for visibility purposes. You are welcome to wear your own schools allocated hivis vest, otherwise we will provide them for you.

We strongly advise you take advantage of our free pre-visit pass, which allows you to come and conduct your own risk assessment and ask the education team any questions you have.
